George Shandos is the founder and managing director of Deep Blue Insurance Brokers Ltd. Having read Law at the University of Sheffield where he acquired an LLB, he specialised in Maritime Law at the University of London (UCL). George has worked in the Marine Insurance industry since 1994 and has acquired a wealth of experience in the placement of innovative and complex risks and the handling of complicated claims.

Demetris Michaelides was born in Limassol, Cyprus and has joined the firm in May 2013. Demetris has graduated from the University of Plymouth where he obtained a BSc in Maritime Business and Maritime Law. Demetris has gained a wealth of experience in Insurance having worked for the past 13 years with two of the major shipmanagement firms in Cyprus, handling a variety of complicated claims and also being responsible for the placement of various types of marine and non-marine related risks.

Victoria Gregoriou has joined the firm in February 2008. Victoria has graduated from the University of Plymouth and has obtained a BSc Maritime Business and Maritime Law. Upon completion of her studies Victoria joined a major shipmanagement firm in Cyprus before entering the Marine Insurance industry in 2003. Victoria has a wealth of experience in the handling of claims as well as the placement of complex insurance risks.

Alvertos Kyprianou joined the firm in September 2010 and holds a BA in Accounting (minor in Economics) from Queens College (City University of New York) and Certificate in Ships Chartering from Maritime College (State University of New York). Alvertos is a member of the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (USA) and also a Certified Broker by the Superintended of Insurance in Cyprus.
